Park Place Technologies announce acquisiton of Derby based IT Support company, Xuper
According to a post by Park Place Technologies on 17th October 2023, a deal has been completed on the acquisition of Xuper Limited which has led to Xuper’s Managing Director, Peter Grogan announcing his retirement.
This announcement will come as a shock to many businesses in the Derbyshire area as Xuper have been a well-established and respected business for 40 years.
Taken from the announcement, Chris Adams, President and CEO of Park Place Technologies, said Park Place continues to focus on providing exceptional customer service and support. “Xuper has a long list of industry accolades and certifications, and nearly four decades of exceptional customer service,” he said. “For decades, Xuper has been a well respected brand. Its culture of finding solutions and building long-term partnerships mirrors Park Place’s mission. Their commitment to channel partners is a complement to our work with the globe’s most accomplished channel companies.”
CEO of Reformed IT, Joe Burns has commented on the acquisition:
“Having built a previous IT services business which was acquired, I’d firstly like to congratulate Peter Grogan on his success and achievements. Selling a business is a challenging process which brings about a lot of additional pressure, personally. So I’m sure Peter is relieved to have got the deal over the line.
The IT services sector has seen a lot of acquisitions over the past 4-5 years and it has been hit and miss as to whether the original business is improved upon on completion of the deal or not. I’m proud to say that the previous business I sold back in 2016 is still going strong with some of the original team and clients from my time there.
I hope, therefore that Xuper’s team and clients can go from strength to strength following this acquisiton.”
