Our First Look at Microsoft Loop
It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for. Microsoft’s latest application ‘Loop’ is finally here.
Here’s our first look at Microsoft Loop and the cool features we found.
In November 2021, Microsoft revealed a new application called “Loop”. This new app allows people to work in collaboration within multiple workspaces. Loop is described as a tool that blends all your everyday work apps into one, creating a large workspace for you and your team.
First Thoughts on Microsoft Loop
At first glance, Microsoft Loop is a big and creative workspace where you can create plans and make notes. As it’s a brand new app, it will take a bit of getting used to all the features and how things work, but in this blog, we’ll try and highlight all the important and cool new features we find in Loop.
Workspace Templates
Starting to play around with Microsoft Loop, we imediately notice the templates.
Selecting one of these templates creates a new page filled with mutiple sections and component, some of which are new with Loop.
Once a new page has been created, you can share and invite others to work on it with you.
New Loop Components
This new application brings some components and features we’ve not seen in any other Microsoft app. Here are some of the ones we think are really cool and useful.
Voting Table
Voting Table allows everyone within the Loop to vote on certain things. Everyone can add as many different ideas as possible, including the pros and cons of each .
Labels
You can add labels to specific tasks or components to let other know the priority and progress of it. State whether the task has been started or completed.
Task List
Exactly what it says it is, a list of tasks. People in the team can add tasks to the list as well as assigning them to specific people and selecting a due date.
Overall Opinion on Microsoft Loop (So Far)
As we’re still testing out the “preview” of Loop, we’re hoping to see much more come from this app throughout this year. However, there are still some very useful features we can use.
Microsoft Loop is a great and simple way to keep noted and share ideas with co-workers, and we believe this app will certainly be used by majority of Office 365 users.
