Hackers can steal your passwords from your browser
In this blog post, we explain why you should stop saving passwords within your browser and how hackers are taking advantage of this.Stop saving your passwords in your browser!
Whenever you sign into a website on your browser, you might see a pop up appear asking you if you want to save you username and password. Although you might think it is quite convenient, it’s very unsecure.
The problem with saving your password with your browser is that hackers can steal these passwords using two simple devices, a mobile phone and rubber ducky (USB).
Hackers put the rubber ducky USB into an unlocked computer which can then run a script and within a couple of seconds sends all those usernames and passwords to the hacker’s phone or server for them to see.

Because it is so easy for these hackers to steal your passwords, we advise that you to delete all passwords you currently have saved in your browser and deny it to offer saving your passwords in the future. We recommend using password manager such as LastPass if you still want to save your passwords somewhere. Other password managers are also available. Because it is so easy for these hackers to steal your passwords
To manage your current saved passwords in chrome, open up a new tab > The three dots in the top right corner > Settings > Passwords. Here you can delete them and also turn off “offer to save passwords” and also “auto sign in”.

For this, Microsoft Edge is very similar to Chrome. To manage passwords in Edge you go to the three dots in the top right corner > Settings > Passwords. Again, here you can delete any current saved passwords and turn off the extra options.

To access your passwords in Firefox, Press the three bars in the top right > Options > Privacy and Security > Scroll down to Logins and Passwords.

To manage your saved Passwords in Safari, open Safari > Preferences > Press the Passwords tab.
In Opera, press the menu button top left > Settings > Privacy and Security > Passwords > Manage saved passwords.
What else can I do?
Because your passwords are no longer saved within your browser (hopefully), you might be left with the thought of how to remember all your login details.
Password managers are a great solution to this.
